What We Do

Workplace Accommodations / Accessibility

We serve as IUPUI’s compliance coordinator for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and evaluate requests for workplace accommodations. The process of requesting reasonable accommodations can be initiated by an employee, an applicant, or someone acting on that person’s behalf. When a request is made, we review required documentation to determine if the employee has a qualifying condition under ADA and make a recommendation based on an interactive process. When a request is made by an applicant, we can assist units in finding reasonable accommodations throughout the pre-employment process.

OEO is the campus's neutral unit charged with investigating allegations of discrimination and harassment in the working and learning environment.
